Title: UK mirror issue?
Post by: James T on 13. January 2013, 01:10:07
I'm currently migrating one machine from stable to testing, and because my network connection seems to be a little flakey, every so often a package download is failing over from mirror.dacentec.com to repo.manjaro.org.uk,  where it gets a 404 error and then fails over to the  Brazilian mirror.

Is there a problem with updates on the UK mirror, as I don't see any packages newer than 28 Dec 2012 when I look at the pool directory?

I recommend followed servers

Code: [Select]
## Germany
# Server = http://mirrors.mycraft.eu/manjaro/$repo/$arch
## United States
# Server = http://mirror.dacentec.com/manjaro/$repo/$arch

Also wrote Roland an email to check our UK-Mirror.

Rankmirrors only searches for the fastest mirror, it can't see if a mirror is outdated or whatever there might go wrong.

Edit: I use rankmirrors too though. When something goes wrong I just remove the mirror from the list (comment it out with #).

Yeah, I fixed the problem. However the sponsored UK Server is kind of slow. -.-
