FYI for those with multiple monitors.

This command:
xdpyinfo | grep -B2 resolution

Will return one result that's a combination of your monitors.

For example, on my machine, it gave the following output:

screen #0:
  dimensions:    3360x1080 pixels (889x286 millimeters)
  resolution:    96x96 dots per inch

At first, I thought it wasn't configured correctly - since my main monitor is 1920x1080, I thought it got the dimensions of that one wrong and didn't give any info on my second monitor at all.

Then I realized that it added the horizontal pixels for both monitors - my second monitor is 1440x900.

1920+1440=3360

Thanks for that info. :)

I just added the following to the wiki:

Quote
Note: If you are running more than one monitor, this test will most likely provide results that are created by combining the monitors that you have connected to your machine & treating them as though they are one monitor!

So you may need to do some arithmetic, OR, of course you could just connect one monitor at a time for the test. ;)
