software update 'logout' button

I found 4 updates today via the Software Update application  ;)
Nice app however I was told to logout /login to complete update.
The button to logout in the Software Update app did not do anything.
I logged out/in via the xfce menu and the update was completed.
I confirmed this with a pacman -Syu.
