Title: conky missing in GNOME edition [SOLVED]
Post by: Fixxxer on 22. August 2012, 15:57:00
As discussed here http://forum.manjaro.cppdev.de/index.php/topic,4.0.html, conky is missing from the GNOME version of Manjaro 0.8.
I have opened this topic to find a way to fix this.

So far I have had to install conky with
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -S conky but I could not make it look like it does in the XFCE version. I will need your help here. Thanks in advance

this is what I want to see:

You need to use our conky config file.
I give you the link:
https://git.manjaro.org/core/manjaroiso/blobs/raw/master/configs/xfce/xfce-overlay/etc/skel/.conkyrc
Save in your home folder as .conkyrc (/home/<user>/.conkyrc).

Thank you, that works great.
Now how can I make it start in every login? I could not find the "startup applications" I was familiar with from Ubuntu distros.

The meny entry disappeared with gnome3 but the application still exists.
In a terminal run "gnome-session-properties" then click on Add button to add a program to launch at session startup.
For conky, as Name write "Conky" and as command write "conky", that's all :)
