<< $ primusrun google-chrome-stable >> not working
« on: 15. April 2016, 21:35:53 »
Hi,

I've installed google chrome (stable) from the AUR repositories and am failing to run
Code: [Select]
$ primusrun google-chrome-stable
It always throws the following error message:
Code: [Select]
primus: fatal: failed to open secondary X display
It works perfectly with other applications such as firefox, though.

Any workaround or idea?

Thanks a lot.

Also having this. Let alone primus, even with virtualgl, all WebGL related functionality doesn't work.
Manjaro Net edition 64-bit + Self installed KDE
Kernel latest supported + latest LTS

I didn't try Chromium.

I usually use Chrome just for Netflix and Amazon Video, since (sadly) nothing else works for them.

Given that Chrome is in the AUR and not officially part of Manjaro, it would be a good idea to try Chromium which is compiled specifically for the Arch libraries etc. that Manjaro uses.

My question was not intended to find out what you normally do; it was an attempt to narrow down the issue and possibly find a solution.

Please try Chromium.

Right, so this is not a Chrome thing but a primusrun/optirun thing.

Does `optirun` present the same message?
