Hi guys,

I'm trying to install the FL Studio 12 music software in wine but I receive a lot of error. Did you try it?
Considering what is written in winehq/FLStudio12 it seems that it should work (but ok, this has been tried in Linux Mint... what about Manjaro/Arch?).

I also found this arch forum post but it can't help at the moment. No one seems to be interested to install FL Studio in Linux Manjaro or Arch  :(

Thanks in advance for the infomation you can provide and best regards.

why not have a look at LMMS https://lmms.io/ it's open source and linux native......

Thanks for LMMS as suggestion but I wanted FL Studio due to its specific features  ;)
Ok, I was able to setup it considering what is reported in winehq related section and further, adding the wmp9 and wmp10 packages.

LMMS is FL Studio! just install it and u will c, the interface is a bit old looking but is the same prog! cos FL Studio is ''improving'' it every year but main functions are the same. so LMMS never had to update really.

You could try PlayOnLinux. As far as I can see there is a script for FL Studio 10. If you installed successfully, why not add an PlayOnLinux script for FL Studio 12?
I bet there are more users and paying customers of FL Studio that would love to see this work on linux! :)

To let FL Studio 12 work in Manajro KDE, I followed this guide:
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=32045
installing the reported packages in a new PlayOnLinux app of type: 'other installation'.

Further, I also needed to add to that app the following two packages and now it works like a charm :)

  • wmp10

Haha, great. Looks awesome.

How did you install all these extra packages needed? I must admit that I haven't spend a lot of time on it, but I using PlayOnLinux interface lot of packages are not there and winetricks didn't play nice with PoL it seemed. If you want to share in more detail, thanks! :)
