We only allow mirror servers to sync from our root-server. Otherwise our server would go down and we will loose the forum, homepage and other needed services. All our packages are available for End-Users only from our Mirror-Server-Framework.
Simply send me the IP of the server and we add it to the rsync-service. Otherwise we have also two tier1-servers with rsync service. Then the mirror might be slightly outdated by one day or so, depending how often the tier1-server syncs.

like in http://www.linuxmint.com/mirrors.php only the upperthing..

bit sort of how-to how to make a list or how to contact about it..

have found a mirror in bangladesh that mayby (?) will do it.. do sort off other distro´s too...

We plan to do that including the current sync state.

Hi.
At the request of some brazillian users of Manjaro Linux, we set up a mirror for you in our mirror servers (Unicamp - State University of Campinas - SP - Brazil). If you want, please add our IP (143.106.60.118) to your whitelist and inform us so we can sync directly from your main mirror. We have 1Gbps link and above 7Tb disk space for mirrors. Initial sync is taking place just now. Addresses are:
Code: [Select]
http://www.las.ic.unicamp.br/pub/manjarolinux/
ftp://ftp.las.ic.unicamp.br/pub/manjarolinux/
rsync://rsync.las.ic.unicamp.br/pub/manjarolinux/
And the main contact e-mail is my registered address in this forum.
Regards,

I've read somewhere that being near the location of the server doesn't mean that it's the fastest. this is proven by my /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist because greece was the fastest on my list with Time: 3.317 followed by Ireland then China with Time: 9.045 then Brazil. Greece is way further than China from the Philippines.
So what are other factors that determine the speed? I know for sure that internet connection is a factor. I wanna get something like blazing 0.something speed like most /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist posted on the forums.

Distance, quality of the nation's network, and quality of the connection to said country are all factors.

Hi, I'm asking for mirroring in Spain to:
  • RedIris.es --> They said me they are in process of getting new servers for more space, so they can't mirror Manjaro for now...  :(
  • Caliu.cat --> They will evaluate it next June, the 1st. They want to know if there is any restriction on the distribution of Manjaro, like Adobe flash packages, or so. I think thay yes, Manjaro have restrictions on the distribution because it has all codecs out of the box. Is this right to answer them?
  • gul.es (linux users group) --> Still waiting for response to my mail...[]
Hopefully we'll have a mirror in Spain soon...  :)

Simply check if they mirror Archlinux already. Most of the packages are the same. flashplugin is on our mirrors such as nvidia and libcss.

I've already started sending emails to bunch of universities and companies here in Australia. With any luck, we may have our first Australian mirror(s).  ;D

There is now a wiki page on Manjaro Mirrors, to be found here:
