Hello,

I've downloaded at set up the latest Fluxbox version of Manjaro with Linux kernel 4.2.3-1 x64 as a guest system under VirtualBox 5.0.6 running in Windows 8.1 x64, all of them are fully updated.

I set up VirtualBox with a Shared Folder with the auto mount option, but in the Manjaro guest I can't find the shared folder. As I understand it, the VirtualBox Guest Additions come installed as part of Manjaro, so I should be able to see the shared folder from the host. I tried asking this question in the newbie corner, but haven't been able to figure it out. Can someone here help? Thanks!!

I am having the exact same problem.  Did you ever find a solution?

I have reinstalled virtualbox guest additions, but even so.

I figured out what was wrong on my system.  For future google hoppers, the issue was that the VirtualBox Guest Additions that came with the Manjaro Insall just wasn't working right.

So I did the following in terminal:

Quote

$ sudo pacman -S virtualbox-guest-utils
warning: virtualbox-guest-utils is already installed
...
Do you want to continue? Y/n: Y
...
///RESTART MACHINE////
///IN TERMINAL////
$ sudo mkdir /mnt/vbshare
$ sudo mount -t vboxsf SharedFolder /mnt/vbshare

It should be in that directory.  If you want to automount the folder on boot, add the following to your /etc/fstab file (you may have to type `cd /etc; sudo mousepad ./fstab` in terminal to be able to save)

Quote
SharedFolder /mnt/vbshare vboxsf defaults 0 0
