yaourt -Syua says "not found in AUR"
« on: 03. April 2016, 01:19:15 »
Hello,

I've got jitsi and qownnotes installed via AUR in a fully updated Manjaro. Thanks to this forum, I've been using allservers to keep everything updated.

However, starting several days ago, using either allservers or yaourt to update I get this error:
Quote
==> Downloading jitsi PKGBUILD from AUR...
==> ERROR: jitsi not found in AUR.
==> ERROR: unable to update

==> Downloading qownnotes PKGBUILD from AUR...
==> ERROR: qownnotes not found in AUR.
==> ERROR: unable to update
And here is the full output:

http://pastebin.com/V0NQ9Gap

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

Try to use yaourt -S <package name> to install those packages. On my end it works:

Code: [Select]
[phil@manjaro manjaro-tools-iso-profiles]$ yaourt -S jitsi

It seems that the PKBUILD needs an update ?

Packer is causing troubles not the package.
Did update the license and .SRCINFO

Well, I unfortunately have the very same error without packer:

I'm using:

/usr/bin/find is owned by findutils 4.6.0-1

Weird, same version and I just rebuild it without any issue.

OK, I reset my PATH to a minimal '/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin', and it now works as expected. The problem is on my side, I'm gonna investigate what's wrong with my setup. Sorry for the warning, and thank you for packaging jitsi :-)

Thanks for your quick response.

Sorry if I was not clear. Like you suggested, I said in the original post that I was indeed trying to *update* my *already* installed jitsi and qownnotes via the "yaourt -Syua" command (I am not trying to install them for the first time). However, I still get the "not found in AUR" error. The full output from that command is linked in my original post. Hope that clears it up!

Make sure your /etc/yaourtrc file is still there and correct.
I've attached mine for you to use or compare yours with.

Try yaourt -S jitsi and post the error here. Seems like something is wrong with the PKGBUILD according to the AUR website:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jitsi/

Thanks just tried that. But the only output from yaourt -S jitsi is:
Quote
==> Downloading jitsi PKGBUILD from AUR...
==> ERROR: jitsi not found in AUR.
Strange... did I do something that messed up yaourt?

Seems like it. Maybe try deleting the /etc/yaourtrc and reinstall yaourt?

What does `yaourt jitsi` return?

I see:

Code: [Select]
$ yaourt jitsi
1 aur/jitsi 2.8.5426-3 [installed] (310) (7.54)
    An audio/video SIP VoIP phone and instant messenger written in Java (formerly SIP-Communicator)
2 aur/jitsi-nightly 2.9.20151031-1 (2) (0.36)
    An audio/video SIP VoIP phone and instant messenger written in Java (formerly SIP-Communicator)

Are you connecting to the correct server?

Code: [Select]
$ host aur.archlinux.org
aur.archlinux.org has address 5.9.250.164
aur.archlinux.org has IPv6 address 2a01:4f8:160:3033::2
