Updated with trepidation as I did not want to change my themes.  So far no problems.  Using a combination of Menda-Dark (colors), Numix Reborn (window decorations), and Menda-Circle icons.  Are there any actual differences between the Menda-Circle and the Maia icon sets?

It is recommended to use Adwaita or any theme which is already compatible with the new CSS style of Gnome. Most of the work is now going into Adwaita-Manjaro and Vertex-Manjaro. Vertex will become our default theme for most of our editions.

Where can we change to the Adwaita or Vertex themes?

When I got to Settings>Window Manager, then neither Adwaita or Vertex is in the list, so it can't be selected there.

I've been using Manjaro for a year now, so maybe those themes did not get added along with the updates? If not, then how to obtain them?

Hi, if they are on you system you should be able to set them using Settings>Appearance

Thanks, I installed them just in case the Greendbird theme that I use breaks tomorrow after the update. But one user already commented that it seems to work fine for him, so I don't expect any issues. But it can never hurt to have some solid backup themes for this transitional period to GTK3.

Please read this and switch to vertex-maia. Thx.

What about a vertex-maia-dark? Is it in manjaro-team plans?

Thanks :D

They were not on my system yet, because I started using Manjaro a year ago, so they did not get added to my system along with the updates, but I've now manually installed them myself, so all is well.

This was a HUGE update. Had GNOME 3.20, Cinnamon 3, and a number of KDE elements as well. approx. 1.2 GB and almost 400 packages.
Went well tho, and will be posting a bit more, but smooth.

EDIT
I did have to change over to the vertex family of themes though. But not complaining as the vertex themes now look better than they ever have. So nice, very nice.

Damned good job devs! Most definitely keep up the good work.

Huge update - no issues. As a person coming from Arch (multi-booting), I can't say enough about this distro, its team of developers, the wiki and the community. Setting the bar for everyone else IMO.

Huge update 322 packages for 741mb.
Took 1.5hrs on my lowly 1-3mb/sec wifi connection.

Smooth upgrade except for the multi-monitor issue.
For some reason occasionally on my Netrunner Rolling my dual 22" boot up to desktop in mirror mode.
With left monitor stacked on top of right monitor. Have to manual setup monitors again.
Wish I knew the issue as using open default drivers on Ati 4350 legacy card driving two 22" displays.

Otherwise great update and Much Thanks Manjaro Team! :)

Update: Yep sound works for Youtube,Music program etc.. But not for System Notifications except defaults already set.
Default points to sound example Network Connection deactivated works if you keep whatever default sounds.
Example device disconnected.ogg. But if you want to change sounds and end up with a path even a valid one. Will Not play

Like /usr/share/sounds/disconnect.ogg then it will not work till you erase the path and only have disconnect.ogg in the play sound path window.
Cannot change sounds as soon as you select sound then it will insert path string /usr/sounds/disconnect.ogg and that will Not work.
Goes for path to any other including ones in my home directory no longer work. If i enter just the sound file. As doesn't know where to look?
As not in default folder.

See Netrunner thread for example images.

I migrate to  Vertex-Maia but Thunderbird and Firefox are not well integrated.
I got this in terminal:
Code: [Select]
vertex-maia-themes:
  -> For seamless integration of Firefox and Palemoon browsers
  -> please copy the 'chrome' folder of the desired theme to your browser profile
  -> or create a symlink.
==> For example:
  -> 'ln -s /usr/share/themes/Palemoon/Vertex-Maia-Dark/chrome/ ~/.moonchild\ productions/pale\ moon/<xyz123>.default/chrome'

but i don't get how to do it.
