Hello.I'm having problems with my Synaptic touch pad in a HP EliteBook 8460p after I installed a Sixaxis controller (Dualshock 3 from ps3).The first time
I installed the device it was connected via USB and after that i configure it via bluetooth, it works fine in both ways. The problem is (i think)
xinput, that for some reason deleted the synaptics config in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/.Now instead of 50-synaptics.conf there is a 50-wacom.conf
and the touch pad behaves like a drawing tablet (the pointer acquire the position of your finger in the touch pad).
[user@pc xorg.conf.d]$ xinput
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PS/2 Generic Mouse id=10 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=7 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Sleep Button id=8 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=9 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ HP WMI hotkeys id=12 [slave keyboard (3)]
[code/]
xinput shows the Synaptics TouchPad
but in [code]/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/[code/] there is no config file for it
[code][user@pc xorg.conf.d]$ ls
10-evdev.conf 10-quirks.conf 50-joystick.conf 50-wacom.conf nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf
[code/]
Is there a way to regenerate the files in xorg.config.d based on the installed software?
on a live cd system the touchpad works perfect
