[Quick Fix] Enable scrolling in Pamac apps in KDE
« on: 25. November 2013, 20:56:39 »
In default scrolling don't working in any GTK applications. This is bug in oxygen-gtk theme. Solution for now is adding
Code: (sh) [Select]
GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1to command. For Pamac I wrote a simple fix script.
Create the new file fix-pamac.sh in text editor:
Code: [Select]
kate fix-pamac.sh with code:
Code: [Select]
#!/bin/bash
# RUN THIS SCRIPT AS ROOT
# FIX SCROLLING GTK APPS IN KDE (BUG IN OXYGEN-GTK THEME) FOR PAMAC APPS.
sed -i 's/Exec=pamac-updater/Exec=GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-updater/' /usr/share/applications/pamac-updater.desktop
sed -i 's/Exec=pamac-manager/Exec=GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-manager/' /usr/share/applications/pamac-manager.desktop
sed -i 's/Exec=pamac-tray/Exec=GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-tray/' /usr/share/applications/pamac-tray.desktop
sed -i 's/Exec=pamac-install %F/Exec=GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-install %F/' /usr/share/applications/pamac-install.desktop
sed -i 's/Exec=pamac-tray/Exec=GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-tray/' /etc/xdg/autostart/pamac-tray.desktop
Next run command:
Code: [Select]
sudo bash fix-pamac.sh && killall pamac-trayLaunch pamac-tray by command:
Code: [Select]
GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS=1 pamac-tray &Close a terminal window.

NOTE: Launch script fixing this issue always after upgrade pamac application.

Does scrolling work on 8.9 now with their new themes for GTK applications.
