Hi, new Linux user here. Got involved when I needed to update my black macbook and there was no new OS X to install on it.  Boy has Linux come a long way from the 90s when I first found it.  Any way, happy to be here.

Hello World!  ;)

I'm uny11, from Barcelona (Spain). First of all, sorry for my horrible English

I use GNU/Linux systems since I can remember. I've tested all the major distros.

My main system (in the begin) was Gentoo for a long time. Then I go to Arch for several years. For a long time, I loved their philosophy and "fight" with all kinds of problems, bugs and similars that come very often.

But lately, I've become very intolerable to the any bug. I think part of it is related to age (33)... Now no longer I have as much time as I would like to dedicate to my systems.

After my last battle against with catalyst-driver and the first versions of KDE5 I decided to change again.

After several attempts (devian, slackware, gentoo and others) I finally think to search the final solution. The stable branch of Manjaro (I hope).

Greeting to all,

Hi! From south east asia. Have one of the worst internet in the world. Not to mention how expensive it is. Thus, I always struggle with updates on linux platforms.

I'm can said to be new to linux. I'd been using and love it. Everything works out of the box. Even Nvidia which I couldn't get work on other distros. :D

Love pacman. Hate apt-get because it downloads tons when every time I do apt-get update. But pacman only download four which are in small sizes. Thus, I only wanted to use archlinux and manjaro is the only one which is stable, updated, and comes everything I need in one pack.

Thanks manjaro team.
Sincerely

Hello from northern Sweden!

After Win 10 I finally decided it was time to revisit Linux and this time make a serious attempt at learning what was needed.

A long, long time ago I failed at getting Red Hat working on my laptop (late '90s). Since then I'd run into Ubuntu from time to time at friends' places and work.

This time I started out with Mint, but then, just as I was going to get started distro hopping, I found Manjaro.

Now I have a multiple boot with Win 10, Manjaro Xfce, and two NET installs with Openbox and JWM.

Hello from south of Norway :)

I am somewhat new to linux. I started to test distros on my oldest computers autumn 2015 because Win10 was too annoying.

So about a month ago I decided to buy a new Thinkpad and erase Windows. I installed Ubuntu 14.04 and was happy. I used a couple of weeks to optimize and learn. As soon as I was satisfied with Ubuntu I installed Manjaro alongside Ubuntu. My first impression is that Manjaro is faster and has better battery life. My fan never starts in Manjaro but sometimes does in Ubuntu (now 16.04).

Well I really like Manjaro, but hate the KDE Wallet! I have to find out how to get rid of it.

Anyway. Cheers from Norway :)

From New Zealand, I've bounced around different OS's between Ubuntu, Windows even OSX on my macbook pro and other hardware for a number of years.

I purchased the Dell XPS 15 9550 and tried Ubuntu which didn't play nice with the hardware so then I wanted to try Arch Linux. Because I'm not great at command line stuff and the difficult installation process I done some research and bumped into Manjaro. With Manjaro KDE my XPS 15 9550 is working flawlessly and battery life is as good as Windows 10, I can use nVidia card for Steam games aswell. I've never run such a smooth stable linux OS before and I haven't had a reason to go back to Windows.

A quick 'back at you' and wave helloo to all the new installers :)
You cover all corners of the globe ... so this 360 degree waving thing is making me a bit dizzy  :o  ;D ;)

Truly hope,Manjaro is the summit of all your aspirations ... and you have a fun, enriching and creative experience!
Glad to be in your company :)

Hello everyone!
I have tried many different Linux Distros, and just yesterday met Manjaro! Already got it "cracked" (my fault) - I do dive too deep xD
I am really enjoying Manjaro!

Greetings from UK! ;D
