Other languages / Problema del teclado despues de suspensión
« Last post by playmepe on 26. March 2021, 23:12:07 »

Hi, I've been using Manjaro for a few years now. I am coming over from the openSUSE world.
I really like the speed of Manjaro, the friendly community and the documentation in and outside of the Manjaro community.

I was born in the states but now I live in France.

Ciao,
Chris

Suggest you try the Epson ESC/P-R driver that seems to work for most Epson printers

If that does not help, suggest you post on new Manjaro forum

this forum was used in the beginning of manjaro linux. it is still accessible, because it contains a lot of valuable pieces of information, but it is no longer maintained.
please join us in the new manjaro forum, where all discussion goes on: forum.manjaro.org

KDE / Force Monitors to Turn Off?
« Last post by wolfyrion on 19. October 2019, 18:51:39 »
Hi ,

I am trying to force 4 monitors to turn off after 10 mins of inactivity or when I lock my PC screen to turn off all monitors.

I have tried everything related to this post but no luck
https://classicforum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=29175.0

in short I have tried commands like :

xset dpms force off
perl -e 'select(undef,undef,undef,.1)' && xset dpms force off
and so on

Sometimes the monitors are turning off , sometimes not, even though I have closed every app.

What I want to do is to FORCE all monitors to turn off even if I have something playing in the background.
You know I let browser open, videos playing in many tabs etc .. I have apps open and so on. Why do I have to close everything in order to force the monitors to turn off? And that if it will work...

Manjaro KDE after 10 mins of inactivity is successfully locking my PC but monitors are not turning off.
Well sometimes they do but is frustrating to come back after 5 hours working outside and see that all monitors are ON...

Shutting down the PC or turning off the monitors manually are not considered as options :P

Thanking you in advance for any feedback
